FAQ

Questions parents ask before they order.

CrayonBloom turns your kid’s big idea into a real, printed coloring-and-activities book — their own story, pages to color, and puzzles, mailed to your door. Here’s the honest version of how the book works, what’s free, and how long it takes to arrive.

Getting started

How CrayonBloom works

What does CrayonBloom cost?

The one thing you pay for is the printed book — a bound keepsake with its own story and activities, from $14.99 plus shipping and tax, with the full total shown before you check out. Before you order, you can preview your idea as a printable coloring page and print any page in our gallery free, so you see the style first, no card needed.

How does it work?

Describe one idea in a sentence — a favorite character, a family joke, a rainy-day adventure — and CrayonBloom draws a clean, printable coloring page around it. Print it at home tonight for free, then turn the idea you love into a real printed book with its own story and activities, mailed to your door. No design skills, no fuss.

What if a page isn't quite right?

Draw another. A new idea gets a new page, and page one of a book you start comes with 3 free redraws: change what it shows and we draw it again, all before you spend anything on a printed book.

Can I just print pages at home?

Absolutely. Every free page is a print-ready PDF you can print tonight and re-print anytime. Printing at home is always free — the printed book, with its own story and activities shipped to your door, is the only thing that costs anything.

The printed book

Printed books and shipping

What exactly is the printed book?

It is a real, bound coloring-and-activities book built around your kid's idea — their idea becomes the main character, with pages to color, a little story, and activities throughout. It is printed on uncoated paper that takes crayon, and mailed to you as a keepsake. You can order yours now, printed for your kid and mailed to your door.

How long does it take to arrive, and where do you ship?

Most books arrive in 11 to 14 business days. That's an estimate, not a guaranteed date. You get a day to look through the pages before it goes to the press. The press takes 3 to 5 business days, and the rest is mail. Business days skip weekends, so if you're aiming at a birthday, order about 3 weeks ahead. Shipping is US-only to start, and we email tracking the moment your book is on its way.

What if my book never gets made?

Then you get your money back. If a book fails on our end before it ships, email [email protected] and we refund the full amount you paid — book, shipping, and tax. Nothing to send back, nothing to prove. We answer refund requests within 2 business days. The details are in our Refund and Shipping policy.

What if I'm not happy with a printed book?

Because each book is custom-made for you, we can't take returns for a change of heart. But if your book arrives damaged or printed wrong on our end, contact us within 30 days with a photo and we'll reprint or refund it at no cost. The details are in our Refund and Shipping policy.

The fine print

Your art and the fine print

Who owns the art I make, and can I use it?

You're free to print, color, share, and keep the pages you make for your own personal, non-commercial use — that's exactly what CrayonBloom is for. The art is created by a third-party AI model (OpenAI), so it may not be eligible for copyright and isn't exclusive to you, but we don't claim ownership of the pages you make. Our terms have the specifics.

What do you need from me?

One sentence. Every page is drawn from the idea you type — that is all we need. If you want the story to name someone, a first name is optional.

Who makes the books — grown-ups or kids?

Grown-ups make them; kids do the coloring. Accounts are adult accounts, so ordering and shipping stay with the person holding the card.

Still wondering?

Try a page, or ask us anything.

The fastest answer is to try it — describe an idea and print a page tonight, then turn the one you love into a printed book. Stuck on something? Email [email protected] and a real person will reply.
